Injury Prevention

Injuries in sports/recreation can often be the result of imbalances, asymmetries or gaps in training. Sports training requires specificity but on the other hand, weaknesses must be managed to provide protection during high speeds, stressful loads etc.

Addressing Asymmetries:

Many sports involve repetitive movements that can lead to imbalances in strength and flexibility between the right and left sides of the body, or between agonist (prime mover) and antagonist (opposing) muscle groups.

Benefits of Sports Imbalance Training:

Reduced Injury Risk: By addressing weaknesses and improving stability, athletes are less prone to overuse injuries.

Enhanced Performance: Improved symmetry and targeted strengthening lead to better movement efficiency and power output.

Faster Recovery: Balanced musculature allows for better recovery from training and competition.

Improved Movement Mechanics: Imbalance training can help correct faulty movement patterns that can hinder performance.
